Thank you for your interest in Industrial Finishing Systems. We are very excited to have the opportunity to design Finishing Equipment for you, the customer. It is our goal at Industrial Finishing Systems to provide you with "The most functional and economic solution" to your finishing system needs. With this goal in mind, we begin by taking the time to truly understand your needs and goals before presenting a custom solution.
We would like to present the history of Industrial Finishing Systems. Industrial Finishing Systems is an Engineering, Designing, Manufacturing and Installation firm providing total turnkey finishing systems and/or individual system components, i.e. ovens, washers, electrostatics, conveyors, spray and powder booths, etc.
The company was founded in 1923 as a paint manufacturer and equipment supplier. In 1968, Industrial Finishing Systems was formed to help manufacturers tie together all the individual components of their plant line. IFS continues to meet the growing need for turnkey finishing systems, custom coating machines, and large equipment painting facilities. In 1999, IFS added a European designed, zero tolerance (zero discharge), completely corrosion resistant and fully insulated "Titanium Composite" inline spray washer that offers a lifetime guarantee on tanks, housing, and all titanium composite parts. IFS represents the entire North American continent with this patented design washer.
Industrial Finishing Systems will take responsibility to design, engineer, manufacture, integrate, install, start-up, and train personnel. Processes with which we have designed and installed include automatic and manual electrostatics, powder coating, solvent and water based coatings, electro deposition, high solids, sealant and adhesives applications, as well as finishing system components for most all automatic spray and dip applications. We have designed systems to clean, coat, and cure everything from fasteners to freight trains.
Industrial Finishing Systems has provided system application service and construction service for many diversified companies including Caterpillar, Northrup Aviation of California, Wilcox Electric, US Department of Energy, U.S. Engineering, Milbank Manufacturing, Fairchild Republic Corporation, Rockwell International, Boeing Aircraft, Kenworth Truck, General Motors, Gates Learjet, Sunbeam Leisure Products, Ottawa Truck, General Electric and many more both locally and throughout the United States.
Our capabilities range from conceptual design responsibility through installation from very small to large sophisticated material handling and finishing systems. We would like to add your company to our list of satisfied system customers.
A fully experienced competent staff in all disciplines is maintained in our Overland Park Head Office. All work for projects undertaken by IFS is carried out in Kansas by our staff, with the resources and expertise of the corporate office.
Generally, the services provided by the design/engineering group will be as follows:
Successful operation of any finishing system requires that
all personnel assigned to the facility be adequately trained for
their roles in the operation. To accomplish this, an active formal
"Powder Coating Institute" approved training
program can be held so that all plant personnel have a thorough
understanding of their duties and the effects of their actions
on the equipment.
